Start with a greeting, and end with love
Giles and I were swapping postcards a while ago. Middle-aged affectation but fun. And it struck me that a Haudoo on 'how to write a letter' would be a good idea. I suggested that to Giles and, because he's a genius, he wrote a letter instead.
It's a lovely thing so I wondered how we could get it into more people's hands. And this is now the plan:
There are 50 copies of it available on Fitzrovia Light Industries. They have individual 'edition' numbers. They will be hand-stamped with the Haudoo logo for promotional reasons. It'll be free, Postage will also be free.
Of course, while you're there it wouldn't hurt you to buy a copy of 'How to grow potatoes'. Or one of the other Haudoos. But that's not compulsory.
Also, this feels like a prototype of a product/service/thing. I like the idea of something you could subscribe to that would send you a single sheet of A4 every now and then. We could commission artists and writers to make one. I haven't quite worked out how to do that yet, but if you order one of the letters then you're agreeing that I can email you when I've worked it out. That fair?
