Every year I get a statement like this from the British Library / Public Lending Right programme. I'm clearly not going to get rich from library users but it's the most life-affirming indication that the books are getting into people's hands. It's so astonishingly joyous to me that 89 people borrowed a copy of Everything I Know About Life I Learned From PowerPoint.
